Let's Get Started!

Firstly, before you make your own character, please note the following. They must not have the same last name as any of the Cannon Characters or be related in any way. Don't worry, your character will get to meet them eventually.

Ever been sitting there for hours on end trying to think up your characters name, personality or even appearance? Hopefully the following will help you. Before we start grab a pen and paper or get Word open on the computer. This is so when ideas come rushing to you, you will be able to quickly jot or type them down. Also it helps when you will be filling out the actual form in a minute. If you are still stuck by the end of this workshop PM a member of staff and they will gladly help you.

Firstly, start asking yourself some questions based on what you want your character to be.

Remember the questions below are about your character.

• What is your name?
  
• Are you male or female?
  
• How old are you?
  
• What color is your hair and eyes. Do you wear glasses and is your hair dyed?
  
• How tall are you? (In ft. E.G. 5'6ft. Thats 5 foot and 6 inches)
  
• How much do you weigh?
  
• Whats your hometown?
  
• What country are you from?
  
• What type of creature are you?
  
• Were you born or created? (If created state who your sireor creator is. Vampires are a good example, who made you a vampire?)
  
• Who are your parents?
  
• Do you have any siblings?
  
• What was your childhood like?
  

Now you have the outline of a basic character. Double check and read through it, making sure you are happy with them. Now research the place they are from if you do not know anything about it. Perhaps find a picture of your character. Also, I would suggest this, find a celebrity that your character looks like then make sure they have not been taken in the Celebrity Claim thread. Then you will have your own little celebrity character.

Try and get as much detail for your character as possible, the more detail the better the character. If your character is 200 years old, reseach what life was like back in them days so that you have a better knowledge incase another character asks you what life was like back in the olden days. If your character has any scars perhaps think up what the scars look like, an example is like a thunder bolt like Harry Potter. Once you know what the scars look like you could think up exciting ways of how those scars came to be part of your character, after all, scars have a history behind them. If you are still stuck remember any staff member is happy to help you.
